THE WORKOUT
| |
| At Revelation Fitness, our workouts utilize slow movement exercise that results in a 50% greater increase in strength compared to traditional strength training. By using state-of-the-art equipment, the slow exercise method involves moving a moderate amount of weight at a pace of 20 seconds per repetition. The positive movement (lifting the weight) and the negative movement (lowering the weight) each takes 10 seconds to perform, for a total of 20 seconds for one repetition. This eliminates momentum and acceleration, thus creating the most effective and safest workout available! Going at this slow rate virtually eliminates the risk of injury such as pulled muscles. |
By moving the weight slowly, we effectively stimulate the most amount of muscle growth in the most efficient amount of time. The muscle is constantly under load until it reaches the point of muscle fatigue. Muscle fatigue is what stimulates muscle growth. Increased muscle is necessary for improving metabolism, which in turn helps burn fat, increases strength, lower blood pressure and cholesterol, and many other benefits. |
|
Because the weight is moved slowly, the muscle is worked more efficiently; therefore each exercise session lasts no more than 20 minutes. Clients experience an intense full body workout, which is accomplished in five to eight exercises. Each exercise is strictly supervised by a Certified Professional Trainer in order to monitor proper form and to ensure complete muscle fatigue is reached. Because the workouts are so effective, proper recovery time is essential. Exercising too frequently can actually hinder progress. The average person requires five to seven days to recover from a workout; therefore, only one exercise session per week is permitted. |
